Safari Park

What an AWESOME day at the Chimelong Safari Park! We started with a ride on a train covering nearly 1 million square meters! During the ride, we saw Bengal and White Tigers (they have 150 of these!), Lions, Zebras, Ostriches, Emus, Elephants, Deer, Brown Bears, Kangaroos, Black Bears, Hippopotamuses, Camels, Sheep, Rams, Cows (odd looking ones), Giraffes, Llamas, Cheetahs, Wolves, Rhinos, and much, much more! The ride was nearly an hour! The train would stop, and animals would be so close! It was amazing! The workers keep snacks and throw them to the animals to get them to react. It was crazy!

We saw monkeys, 12 pandas, LOTS of Koalas, birds, rat pandas, rabbits, squirrels (with fuzzy ears), snake, Chimpanzees (playing on ropes above your head), and so many other animals!

We fed the giraffes, Audrie got to eat some popcorn... she has been asking for it since we got on the plane, and we got our picture with the bengal tiger mascot! Jaxon clapped at the Elephant show...which was very cool to see!

Amie: The greatest part for me was seeing the kids have a great time and how close you could get to the animals.

Jerry: It was amazing that the Lions were awake. Every time we see them somewhere....they are always sleeping!

Audrie: I love the Elephant show! Can we watch it tomorrow?

Jaxon: Was singing and clapping and giggling!  Oh yea...and Audrie says he wants to see the elephant show tomorrow too!

We rode the merry go round (in the carriage like Cinderella) and the flying dragons!

Kids passed out on the trip back. Jaxon is up having snakes (snacks) now, and Audrie is still passed out! Audrie got a new giraffe, Jaxon got a new KAKA which is the white tiger mascot, and mommy got a keychain and daddy got a hat!
